Veterans Day on the Hill is Minnesota’s largest annual veterans advocacy event, hosted by the Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force (MNCTF)—a united coalition of nine leading veterans service organizations.
Location: Begins at the Cedar St. Armory/Veterans Service Building, marching to the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul.
Purpose: To advocate for Minnesota's veterans by directly engaging with state legislators, supporting a "veteran-friendly" legislative agenda.
Key Issues/Agenda: Modernizing the Disabled Veteran Homestead Market Value Exclusion, supporting the Hastings Veterans Home Project, and preventing veteran suicide.
Schedule: Generally features a morning gathering, a march to the Capitol, a rally in the Rotunda, and meetings with lawmakers.
Open to All: No membership in any organization is required; all veterans and supporters are welcome.
