Mark Legvold and Kristi Pursell will be the lead-in speakers for the event. Peggy Flanagan and Senator Tina Smith will follow with their remarks. Lieutenant Governor Flanagan and Senator Smith will train attendees on how to knock doors for DFLers up-and-down the ballot, then encourage all to get to work making sure that their neighbors know what is at stake in the August 11th primary election. Dakota County Fairgrounds Picnic and Ice Cream
On Wednesday July 8th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. bring family and friends to an old-fashioned summer picnic for Senate 58 Candidate Mark Legvold at the Dakota City Heritage Village Drugstore at the Dakota County Fairgrounds, 220th St. West, Farmington, MN 55024. Mark's slogan is "Real Service -Shared Values" and he's proving it by scooping free ice cream for everybody who comes! Make it a sundae or a root beer float.
We are also serving a hot dog and chips picnic dinner for $5. There will be lawn games and some seating but we encourage people to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Free parking. This event is hosted by a small group of citizens who met Mark and decided he is exactly the kind of person we need at the Capitol. There's a link to his website below. We also included a link to the Legvold Senate page at ActBlue.com because we wouldn't be doing everything we can to elect him if we didn't. But most of all, we hope you can stop by in person. That's what Mark really wants because that's the kind of person he really is.

Top the Tater Days Grand Parade
March with Mark in the area’s summer parades. First up is the Top the Tater Days Grand Parade in Downtown Farmington MN. Be an ambassador for SD58 on the streets of Farmington.
For those of you joining us - we will meet by 11:30am at the Dakota County Fairgrounds at 4th Street. We are with the Dakota 20/58 DFL group in parade position #44. If you'd like to help us decorate the truck - we will be at the fairgrounds at 10 am to accomplish this task.
Look for the DFL blue 1952 Pickup truck decorated with Legvold, Fellows and Klobuchar signs. We welcome all of you as marchers with us - will need banner holders, bubble blowers, candy and pencil distributors, rally sign holders, hand shakers and baby kissers.

Rally for Rural Families at Next Chapter Winery
Meet and greet with Mark at Next Chapter Winery, 16945 320th St, New Prague, MN.
Rural Minnesota deserves an advocate in St. Paul. Enjoy food and wine, music, outdoor fun and games. Mark will speak at 7pm.
Canoe the Cannon with Legvold
Paddlers alert! Board a canoe or kayak for a leisurely float with Mark on the Cannon River from Dundas to Riverside Park in Northfield. We plan to spend time discussing water quality and the importance and influence of farm practices and how legislative policy can help us keep our water supply healthy and clean for wildlife and human enjoyment.
For those who don’t own a canoe or kayak, rental can be arranged with Farmstead Bike Shop in Northfield. Food and conversation will follow at the take-out in Riverside Park, Northfield. Feel welcome to participate in the paddle, the picnic or both.

Cannon Falls Rural Listening Session
Join Local Legislative Candidates Mark Legvold for Senate District 58, Ed Fellows for House District 58A, Jason Lohmann for Senate District 20 and Heather Arndt for House District 20A to discuss issues that are most concerning for our rural districts.
Agriculture economics, data centers, healthcare, water quality, fraud and more will be covered in this informal gathering of friends and neighbors Dakota and Goodhue county areas. These candidates are all DFL endorsed, but this event is not partisan. All are welcome. We need everyone at the table to solve the big issues facing our area.
